この度、本学教員である ジャックリン?コハン（Jacklyn KOHON）助教の発表した社会的な持続可能性（サステイナビリティ）に関する研究が、「On Sustainability Journal Collection」の「On Sustainability International Award for Excellence」を受賞されました。

この賞は、環境的?文化的?経済的そして社会的に持続可能な世界を模索する On Sustainability Research Network に所属する会員が発表した論文のなかで、特に優れたものに毎年贈られるものです。

コハン助教の受赏コメントを绍介します。

コハン助教

私の研究は、社会的なサスティナビリティに関する理论と、持続的な地域社会を形成するために実际に行われている取组とをつなぐことを目的として、都市计画におけるサステイナビリティの各要素の中でもまだ研究が进んでいない社会的な持続可能性について、実事例に基づいた体系化を试みたものです。具体的には、世界の3つの都市（名古屋、デンマーク?コペンハーゲン、米国?ポートランド）での取组をサンプルに、「健康の社会的决定要因（厂顿贬）フレームワーク」という切り口から各取组を分析した研究です。

本フレームワークは、个人と社会とは健全な関係を构筑していくべき、という基本思想のもとに设计されたものです。社会的に持続可能なコミュニティづくりの理论と実践を厂顿贬に基づいて体系化することで、社会的な不平等を无くしていくと考えています。

英文：

This research bridges the gaps between social sustainability theory and actual urban sustainability planning practice in an international sample of three case studies(Nagoya city:?Japan, Copenhagen: Denmark, Portland, United States of America ) while connecting the social determinants of health framework (SDH) as a path forward for guiding social sustainability practice.

Bridging the gap between theory and practice with the SDH framework, which is built on a social justice foundation, supports reduction of structural and contextual inequalities in urban neighborhoods.

It is such an honor to receive this award. I hope this work contributes to building more socially healthy communities around the world.?
