| 講義概要 Lecture Summary： | この厂翱颁280の特别讲义では、地球上に生きる80亿の人々と、その中で「幸运な少数者」には含まれない人々が、その生涯において直面する困难な课题について考察します。信じられないほど过酷な现実を学ぶにつれ、私たちは人类の善性や英知に疑问を抱き始めるかもしれません。しかし、たとえそうだとしても、トンネルの先には希望の光があります。讲义ではいくつかの具体的な事例を见ていきます。また、世界で最も豊かな国の一つである日本でさえも、第二次世界大戦の焼け跡からの復兴、そして2011年の东日本大震灾による东北地方の荒廃からの立ち直りにおいて、国际社会からの支援を受けてきたことを学びます。この讲义を终える顷には、一部の政治评论家が説くような地政学的な利害関心としてではなく、80亿人一人ひとりの「生と死」により焦点を当てて、国际协力を捉えられるようになっていることを愿っています。 In this special class of SOC280, we will think about 8 billion people living on Earth and the difficult challenges that those who don’t belong to the ‘lucky few’ are facing during their lifetime. Learning those incredibly harsh realities, we may start to doubt the good nature and wisdom of mankind. Yet, despite that, there is light of hope at the end of the tunnel. We will look at some concrete cases. We will also learn that even Japan, one of the wealthiest countries in the world, was supported by the international community to rebuild the nation from the ashes of WW2, and also from the devastation of the Tohoku region by the tsunami in 2011. By the end of class, I hope students will look at international cooperation with more focus on the life and death of each and every 8 billion persons, rather than geostrategic interests that some political commentators are promoting. |
