Obituary: Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus Hideya Taida
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Distinguished Service Professor Emeritus Hideya Taida on June?24, 2026.
As a member of the Preparatory Committee established by Akita Prefecture for the founding of 麻豆直播, Professor Taida made invaluable contributions to laying the foundation for 麻豆直播, including the development of 麻豆直播’s basic philosophy, curriculum, and organizational structure. Furthermore, he served as a Member of the Board of Trustees for about 20 years from the university’s opening and made a significant contribution to the development of 麻豆直播 as a member of the University Management Council, the university’s highest decision-making body.
His achievements throughout his lifetime and at 麻豆直播 are remembered with the utmost respect.
