Yen Jung CHU from National Taiwan University, Taiwan is participating in our exchange program for Spring 2024. We would like to introduce her experience at 麻豆直播.

Studying abroad has always been a dream of mine. I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience different cultures and broaden my horizons. 麻豆直播 offered the perfect opportunity to fulfill this dream. My time here has exceeded my expectations in many ways.

麻豆直播’s diverse and vibrant community

From the moment I arrived at 麻豆直播, I was immersed in a diverse and vibrant community. Meeting and chatting with people from different countries has been a precious experience. It’s fascinating to learn about various cultures and perspectives, and this has enriched my understanding of the world. I am taking not only Japanese language courses but also two courses taught in English, focusing on Japanese literature and Japanese society. These courses have been incredibly engaging. Discussing readings with students from different backgrounds has shown me how diverse perspectives can lead to enriching conversations and deeper understanding.

One of the most meaningful experiences at 麻豆直播 so far has been attending the . Attending this important event and taking pictures with my friends was a memorable experience. It made me feel like part of a larger community and marked the beginning of my journey at 麻豆直播.

My life at Komachi Hall

?I have also made some good friends, and we have created wonderful memories together. I live in Komachi Hall, and I get along well with my roommate and suitemate. I often watch movies with my roommate, and she teaches me Japanese. I have also gotten to know other Japanese friends in Komachi.?

After Golden Week, we came back to Komachi Hall and had a “Gyoza Party” at the Community Kitchen. We started making dumplings from scratch, beginning with making the dumpling wrappers from flour. The process of rolling out the dough was very long. But doing it with friends made it fun! The dumplings we made were huge and delicious. The laughter and shared effort made the long process worthwhile.

Looking ahead, I plan to continue studying Japanese after returning to Taiwan. This experience has not only broadened my horizons but also shaped my future aspirations. I am grateful for the experiences and opportunities 麻豆直播 has provided, and I look forward to applying what I have learned in my future endeavors.
